Greatjoy Ndlovu is a Bulawayo, Zimbabwe born fine artist working at August House Studios in Johannesburg. In the contemporary post expressionist style, this artist works with a drip technique. Ndlovu's paintings evoke the swirling emotions of his subjects in reaction to twenty-first century anxieties and joys. These paintings come from within the artist, rather than from a depiction of the external visual world. Many of his paintings are in the collection of emerging and established art connoisseurs.
This year Nudlovu's work was on exhibit at the 2016 Turbine Art Fair. Recent work is currently on display at the Henry George Gallery in Parkhurst.
Nudlovu has worked with the Hush Puppies Initiative for breast cancer awareness and gives his time to service initiatives in his community. His next big project is a solo exhibition at the Mellville Art Project in July 2017.
